Selective Catalytic Reduction
Green Square North Tower, Brisbane, Queensland
ECI worked with MMM Mechanical Services and Leighton Contractors to achieve a 6 star Green rating. Our customised design met plant room requirements as well as stringent Brisbane City Council air policy regulations.
It was the first building in Australia to use a natural gas Co-gen system fitted with SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) for NOx abatement. The SCR System and Oxidation Catalyst was able to treat the exhaust gas prior to the direct fired absorption chiller, which supplied cooling for the building.
ECI designed and manufactured all components which included the Silencer, Oxidation Catalyst and the SCR System for the genset to meet stringent Australian Standards for gas
appliance code, Air Policy Regulations and Plant Room limitations.
Port Stanvac, Adelaide, Australia
ECI were proud to be part of the new installation of some 66 mw of power generation at Port Stanvac in Adelaide. ECI supplied new exhaust Silencers to the existing Lonsdale installation which was then relocated further up the hill, with 36 new Cummins Gen-sets then installed at the expanded site.
ECI also supplied SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) for the treatment of NOx, together with exhaust Silencers and associated pipework, all to EPA site requirements for emissions and noise.
Works included supply of all exhaust piping, installation and commissioning of the SCR system, as well as site lagging all associated componentry.
The new power station was officially opened in April 2011.
